Possessing technical and research skills is essential for graduates looking for a job in a highly competitive global economy. According to the 2017 UNESCO report, the skills mismatch in the labor market is one of the five most serious problems hindering business development, which were indicated among employers in both developed and developing countries. Lack of adequate skills not only hamper young people in finding a job, but according to the OECD studies (2018) the majority of companies report that the lack of skills negatively affects their performance and competitiveness.
ESCOLAR has the objective of introducing and mainstreaming European Union matters in study programs programmes on landscape planning, environmental studies and agriculture. Students will learn about the best European practices urban development, environmental and agricultural policy and project management. ESCOLAR will also deploy project results via its open educational resource platform destined to promote the project results to other organizations and society at large.
